On our Amalfi Coast trip, we'll discover that same mild climate and scented hill sides as we delve into the secrets of Pompeii before meandering among the ancient villas of Ravello. We'll step into the unchanged rhythms of Italian traditions as we walk among vineyards, lemon groves and chestnut forests where the fruits of the land are still harvested by hand. We'll visit the chic streets and scented walkways of Positano, Capri and Sorrento where we will sample fresh seafood, taste Italy's best mozzarella and toast a glass of Limoncello to this dazzling and romantic coastline.

Day 1 - Ravello - We will begin with a convenient pick-up at your pre-trip hotel in Naples before taking a short spin to Pompeii for a look into the lives of ancient Romans. Meander among the historic villas and gardens of Ravello. Visit ridgetop Villa Cimbrone for spectacular views of the Amalfi coast from its statue lined balcony.

Day 2 - Amalfi - Walk through the "Valley of the Mills", a natural park of cascading waterfalls and 19th-century abandoned paper mills. Discover the historic maritime republic of Amalfi. See how paper was made here centuries ago at a local museum. Discover craftshops that display the Amalfi coast's unique ceramics. Dine on the best of Amalfi's cuisine while overlooking the romantic evening lights glittering in the distance along the coast.

Day 3 - Positano - Take a breathtaking walk along the "Costa Amalfitana", considered one of Italy's most scenic vistas. Follow the "Sentiero dei Dei - Walk of the Gods", a cliff side trail with inspiring views of the entire Amalfi coastline. Pass along natural archways, terraced vineyards, fruit orchards, olive groves, abandoned stone farmhouses and isolated villages. Spend a leisure afternoon among Positano's bougainvillea bordered walkways. Visit its art workshops or relax on its beach. Enjoy a romantic evening walk to view the sparkling lights among the Moorish-style buildings flowing up the hillsides of Positano.

Day 4 - The Island of Capri - Take a boat along the Sorrento Peninsula to the garden Island of Capri. Lunch "al fresco" in the hilltop village of Anacapri. Take a chairlift to the summit of Monte Solaro, Capri's highest point for inspiring views of the town of Capri, the natural splendors of its magnificent azure coastline and the majestic Faraglioni rock formations resting off its coast. Walk through pine forests and open hillsides to Anacapri. Discover the secrets of making Limoncello, the Amalfi coast's favorite liqueur. Visit Villa San Michele, once the home of Alex Munthe, Swedish author and physician, for its antiquities collection and splendid gardens.

Day 5 - Capri - Walk the ancient Phoenician Steps, cut into the sheer rock cliff hundreds of years ago, to arrive in the busy town of Capri. Visit Augustus' Garden, Capri's most romantic viewing spot and the 14th-century St. James Monastery. Drop in on the Carthusia Perfume works to see its production and sample its products. Follow Capri's main walkway, the ancient Via Tiberio, used by Roman emperor Tiberius to get to Villa Jovis, his Caprese retreat and pleasure palace. Discover its expansive ruins and how advanced they were here 2000 years ago. Spend some free time to visit some of Capri's elegant shops filled with Italy's finest fashions and accessories before dining tonight on local seafood specialties in a lemon grove among the quiet urban hills of Capri.

Day 6 - Sorrento - Homeward bound. Morning boat ride to Sorrento, regarded by the ancient Romans as the legendary abode of Ulysses' sirens. Discover historic Sorrento with its cobblestoned streets and luxuriant gardens. Bid a final farewell to the romantic Amalfi coastline and take a private transfer to your post-trip hotel or other travel connections in Naples.
